Hiya to everyone!

Bought this to replace my ageing brother HL1240.. not that old but i so wanted to duplex stuff. I make all my own worksheets for school and would rather print them the night before and not wait in the pgotocopy queue in the morning!!

So... searched Kikatek and found this one and thought it looks a bit compact to duplex as they normally have a deeper tray.. but it was at a good price and a higher DPI.. also a little tantalising was the extra £50 discount on offer through Brother... making it only £163 in real terms..

Arrived in 48 hours in perfect conditon. (make sure you make a note of the serial number - on the back for later use in getting your £50 back)

Out of the box and printing in 25 minutes!! duplexing is done by refeeeding the sheet back into the printer from the top output tray.. fun to watch the sheet being pulled back in and then appearing as a double-sided print!!!

Print quality is absolutely perfect in everyway.. printer is nice and quiet and consumables are fairly economical.. and would generally advise that recycle/refilled toner cartidges are not used as these are a total false economy. Put the printer on toner saver mode and you will hardly notice the difference!

when you get the printer: to claim back your £50

download your invoice from Kikatek - register and then go to my orders and click on email my invoice.
log onto Brother.co.uk and register your printer.. make sure you have the serial number to hand - told you!
on the last screen you can enter the promotion code "MONO50" they will then ask you to fill in your Bank sort code and account number
They will need a copy of the invoice sending to them as prooof - a bit of a niggle but worth the £50 eh?!?!)
