After trying a couple of older cigarette lighter socket to iPhone (3GS) / iPod (5th Generation) chargers with no success ("Charging is not possible with this accessory"), this product offered the ideal solution! It's small and discreet (disappearing under the sliding cover on my 2008 Audi TT when not in use) and charges the iPhone 3GS quickly even while using it as an iPod! The light is green (not blue as shown) but in general the product offers a smart solution to charging in the car! It doesn't fit flush in the socket, but then you wouldn't be able to remove it easily if it did! Ultimately an excellent solution to charging (Apple) products in the car!
