100GBs was getting a bit tight for my MacBook Pro 15.4" so I decided to go for this Western Digital 5400 rpm 320GB HDD. Installing was a little fiddly (I recommend other MacBook pro owners look on the internet for a good installation guide) and will void warranty if still valid (in which case you need to get a certified Apple Engineer to do it). But after installation I am very happy - lots of space (about 298GB actual disk space), very fast and incredibly quiet - it makes the original Seagate drive seem quite antiquated. I highly recommend it.

I bought this HD after my MacBook decided to 'die' on me. I was very disappointed and did not fancy spending loads of money on sending it away to get repaired as my warranty had already expired. So I took courage and decided to try my hand at some computing DIY. The product arrived well before the estimated delivery dates and was easy and very quick to install. My laptop is now as new and for a fraction of the price it would have cost had I not done it myself. I find that it is considerably quieter than the old HD and the difference in specs is well worth the money as it is very competitively priced (in fact the best price I found for this exact model). I have nothing but praise for this product and I'm so pleased that I have ordered some RAM and will be upgrading that too as soon as I receive it! Definitely recommend this if you're looking for a HD for your Mac!
