"Darius" is a side-scrolling shooting game that first appeared in arcades in 1986. At the time, it was touted for its innovative mechanical housing, which connected three screens and featured an acoustic system with built-in bass speakers in the bench seat, all of which combined to create a cinematic experience for players. The Silver Hawk spaceship from the game is now a 1/144-scale model kit from P.M. Office A! Produced with full cooperation from Taito, the Silver Hawk's appearance has been carefully duplicated from the game; it's molded in color so painting isn't necessary, and it snaps together, too.
