This month's Hobby Japan celebrates the 20th anniversary of one of Gundam's most well known series — Mobile Suit Gundam SEED!

Twenty years after its TV broadcasting in 2002, a big wave is once again coming to "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED". A new project "GUNDAM SEED PROJECT ignited" was announced in 2021, and a Freedom Gundam statue was built in Shanghai. The serialisation of the comic "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ECLIPSE" has started as the new official Gaiden Gundam SEED MSV. In terms of Gunpla, a large number of "Gundam SEED" related kits have been added to the lineup, including FULL MECHANICS Freedom Gundam and ENTRY GRADE Strike Gundam, and the recent "MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam". In addition, many fans are looking forward to the new Gundam SEED movie currently in production.

In this special feature, Hobby Japan looks back on the 20 years of "Gundam SEED" with example builds from the series starting with Meister Naoki Kimura's incredible build of MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam.

2002年のTV放送開始から20年、今再び『機動戦士ガンダムSEED』に大きな波が押し寄せています。
2021年に新プロジェクト「GUNDAM SEED PROJECT ignited」が発表され、上海にはフリーダムガンダム立像が建造。新公式外伝ガンダムSEED MSVとしてコミック『機動戦士ガンダムSEED ECLIPSE』の連載がスタート。
ガンプラ面でも、FULL MECHANICSフリーダムガンダムやENTRY GRADEストライクガンダムをはじめ、『ガンダムSEED』関連キットが数多くラインナップを重ね、2022年を締めくくる超大物キットとして先日「MGEXストライクフリーダムガンダム」が発売となりました。
